With the divine blessings of the Almighty and the revered Late Sri Mavuduru Jagannatha Sarma Garu, our esteemed Srikakulam Music and Dance Academy was founded on March 18th, 2019. Rooted in devotion to the timeless traditions of Indian classical music, our journey began with an auspicious inaugural concert that continues to inspire our purpose and passion.
The inaugural evening resonated with divinity as the Legendary Hyderabad Brothers — Sri Dr. D. Raghavachari Garu and Sri Dr. D. Seshachari Garu — graced the stage with a soul-stirring vocal concert. They were accompanied by an ensemble of illustrious artists — Dr. Patri Satish Garu on Mrudangam, Dr. M. Satyanarayana Sarma Garu on Violin, and Dr. Mandapaka Ravi Garu on Kanjira — whose artistry elevated the concert into a truly divine experience.
From that sacred beginning, our organization has been dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating the rich heritage of Indian classical music.
